intersection is devised and curated by Sorrel Muggridge (Nottingham) and engages artists and audiences with questions of place and interpretation of site. A charged atmosphere is created as the artists’ works rub against each other; as on the city streets, buildings with different architectural visions meet.
Artists presentations 12 & 13 October, please contact the Gallery for further details.

Call for submissions from new and emerging artists.
Leeds Art Fair Fringe 2007
Through open submission we request that new and emerging artists submit short video works which are concerned with the human condition.
The group known as Short fringe will curate a show of fine art films and videos based around the central concept of the human state. Work must be immediate and personal and must illustrate a human point of view or something of the functional aspects of living with our human form. Videos will be edited on to a show reel for the event. They will be shown, along with the Short fringe video work 60:60 as part of the display for the duration of Leeds Art Fair, using existing cinema facilities at the Light and other forms of projection. They may also be used to create more experimental and temporary interventions, in, on and around the space at the Light.
All films must be submitted on mini dv and have a duration of around one minute. All films must be recent work, unseen in Leeds. Artists must not have shown at Leeds Art Fair before. Please include a SAE for return of material. Deadline is Friday the 10th of November. Videos will be selected by the members of Short fringe.
The introduction of four fringe events at Leeds Art Fair aims to introduce work that complements and broadens the kind traditionally shown at the Art Fair. Fringe work will be included in publicity and programmes for the Art Fair.
Please send submission on mini dv, along with a cv and an SAE to:
